Bento Kangamba Acknowledges Positive Transformations in Luanda under Higino Carneiro’s Governance
Bento Kangamba, the itinerant secretary of the MPLA’s Provincial Committee in Luanda, commends the transformative governance of Higino Lopes Carneiro, the governor of Luanda. Under Carneiro’s leadership, the city has witnessed remarkable progress and improvements, positively impacting the lives of its residents.
One of the significant achievements of Carneiro’s governance is the construction and rehabilitation of roads, leading to improved traffic flow in the capital. Additionally, successful efforts have been made to combat littering and street vending, enhancing the cleanliness and organization of the city.
“The governance of Higino Carneiro has significantly improved Luanda. We can see substantial progress in the municipalities and neighborhoods. Companies are actively contributing by clearing garbage and cleaning the streets, which is vital for a well-functioning city,” stated Bento Kangamba in an interview with RNA.
Furthermore, Kangamba acknowledged the positive changes brought about by Carneiro’s administration, including the disappearance of taxis and motorcycles that caused congestion and inconvenience in some neighborhoods. Additionally, street vendors have started to diminish, indicating progress and order in the city.
Taking the opportunity to address pressing economic matters, Bento Kangamba called on the Ministry of Commerce to closely monitor companies that exploit the country’s current context to sell essential goods at exorbitant prices. He also acknowledged the notable decrease in the cost of essential goods in various regions of the country, offering a glimmer of hope amidst economic challenges.
In response to the statements of certain opposition political leaders, Bento Kangamba advocated for respectful discourse rather than resorting to aggressive or vengeful language. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of peace, unity, and democracy while engaging in political debates and discussions.
“We need to uphold respect when discussing others during elections and national politics. Politicians should not portray themselves as victims or resort to bitterness. Instead, we should promote peace, unity, and democracy,” cautioned Kangamba.
In conclusion, Bento Kangamba’s praise for Higino Carneiro’s governance highlights the positive transformations witnessed in Luanda. The improvements in infrastructure, waste management, and street vending demonstrate Carneiro’s commitment to enhancing the city’s livability. Furthermore, Kangamba’s call for respectful political discourse underscores the significance of maintaining a harmonious political environment, ultimately fostering progress and development in Angola.
